1. Joseph Mengele (twin experiments)
During the second world war, Joseph Mengele conducted thousands of experiments on twins. He would go as far as to freeze them, mutilate them, and even inject them with diseases such as typhus or tuberculosis which at the time guaranteed death. There is no way to quantify the cruelty that his victims endured; and this is one of the worst examples of human experimentation in recorded history. What is worse though, is that Josephs files were either not found or never made public, so if any advancements to medicine did come out of this horror; we still won’t know.
