In relation to the aforementioned games, Minecraft is quite different. The game has many characteristics which make it both beloved, and open to criticism simultaneously. For example, the graphics are considered by many to be the weakest point of the game. However; since this is a creative game, these types of pixel-like graphics are quite necessary. This game generally helps to foster creativity and improve individuals problem solving skills by building different structures, or by manipulating the elements within the world to achieve a goal the players give themselves. Although the game lacks a storyline; this is one of the most consistently performing games that has been released over the past years. Minecraft was officially released in 2009, yet it still finds its place on the top 10 list even 6 years later.
