#9 – Use The 4-7-8 Method
The 4-7-8 method, a breathing technique that according to various bloggers, can put you to sleep in a matter of seconds. This method relaxes your body by increasing the amount of oxygen in your blood stream. Here’s how to do the 4-7-8 method:
- Start by placing the tip of your tongue just behind your front teeth. Keep it in this position throughout the entire exercise.
- Exhale with your mouth while making a whooshing sound.
- Inhale quietly through with your mouth closed while counting from one up to four in your head.
- Hold your breath while counting seven.
- Exhale again through your mouth with a whoosh sound for eight counts.
Do this cycle for a total of four times.
