Lavender is widely known for its undeniably good fragrance, soothing touch, and therapeutic benefits. Researchers approved the essential oil’s healing properties which also helped earlier people back then. Egyptians used lavender for healing and embalming while the British used it to control a plague. In addition, soldiers used lavender oils as a disinfectant and therapeutic oil to ease the pain of their wounds.
For the past years, mankind discovered abundant more uses for lavender. From using lavender in scented bath soaps and insect repellents to medical remedy as antiseptic, antibacterial, and antifungal. But the most amazing benefits of lavender is its ability to help cancer patients.
Researches on lavender in the year 2015 and 2016 revealed the photochemical property called linalool, a significant cytotoxic known for killing cancer cells. Another study demonstrated that lavender essential oil shows significant cytotoxic impact against breast and cervix cancer cells.
