9 Warning Signs of of Type 2 Diabetes

7. Weight loss

High blood sugar levels can lead to excessive weight loss since the cells aren’t getting enough of the required amount of glucose. Glucose is required for proper production of energy in your body. When the body does not have enough glucose, the body begins breaking down proteins to act as an alternative energy source to the muscles. If you are urinating on a number of occasions, you are losing a lot of water since the kidneys aren’t working hard enough to eliminate excessive sugar. This leads to loss of calories resulting to unexplained weight loss. Although being heavy or overweight can be an indicator that a person is suffering from type 2 diabetes, too much weight loss could also be a sign that a person is suffering from diabetes.
