7. Pain in the chest.
Lung cancer can create a sensation of pain in the chest area, which can of course also include the shoulder, or the back area. This aching feeling may be dull, and is not associated with coughing. Figure out where the pain is based on the chest, and once you pinpoint the source of the pain, research it, and pay a visit to a doctor if symptoms concern you, or just to be safe.
