5. Swollen Glands
Lymph nodes are a part of our immune system that help us fight off disease. When HIV infects someone, their immune system has to work harder to fend off diseases, so as the immune system fends off diseases, the glands can get overworked and swell up. This symptom may last for months on end, and it is one of the most common symptoms that women with HIV can experience.
