7 Signs of COPD

5. Chest Pains

Chest pains may be due to strain exerted on the muscles due to rapid coughing and excess buildup of mucus within the lungs. These factors may cause the lungs not to operate in their preferred capacity and as a result some pain might be induced. Entry of cigarette smoke also does cause some inflammation on the lungs and this can extend to other organs close to the chest cavity. On the early stages of COPD infection chest pains can relieved by taking suitable antibiotics however the pain may became unbearable when COPD diagnosis is not made right in time.
