Starvation is a method of weight loss that is simply not sustainable. Many have tried it and lost weight in the short term. However, the best way to lose weight fast is to do it for the long term as you make tangible progress without falling back. Skipping or cutting foods is definitely not the way to go. However, you can choose to avoid some guilty pleasures for some time for your own good. For example, you do not have to eat cake every other day. You can decide to have a piece of cake once a month. This applies to those high calorie foods that we can do without in everyday life. Quitting junk food cold turkey might not be wise and the secret is not to swear that you will never eat a certain food again. Moderation is the key to success in this regard.
