1. Changes in mood and personality.
Parkinson’s disease has also been associated with a variety of personality changes. This includes social withdrawal, depression and anxiety when in new situations. Research shows that depression, especially to those people experiencing it for the first time, can be an early sign of Parkinson’s. However, it is not easy to attribute it to Parkinson’s until proper screening has been done. Other patients also experience subtle changes in their thinking abilities. Particularly, this shows up in concentration and in executive functions that involves planning and executing duties. Losing the ability to multitask is one of the clear signs of this condition. Those people who could do up to three activities find it difficult to multitask but can only perform one by one. Mood issues and thinking problems also goes hand in hand with this condition.
